About this course
Anything that enters the eye from the surrounding environment is foreign body. It may be a dust, iron particles, vegetable matter, or sand and mud particles. When a foreign object enters the eye, it will most likely affect the cornea or the conjunctiva. The removal of a corneal foreign body is a procedure commonly performed by the ophthalmologist in the outpatient department.This session will provide guidelines for the ophthalmic paramedic to assist the ophthalmologist to remove the foreign body in a patient.
