About this course
POAG is a condition with an open, normal appearing anterior chamber angle and raised intraocular pressure (IOP), with the blockage of trabecular meshwork.The majority of patients with POAG
are asymptomatic. Patients become aware of constricted visual field or blurred vision in later stage of POAG. The role of ophthalmic paramedic to explain the importance of the routine examination of IOP and optic nerve changes to the patient are vital.
